Day1 - Arrive Delhi
Traditional welcome on arrival at Delhi international airport and transfer
to hotel.
Day2 - Delhi
After breakfast, guided tour of historic city of Delhi. The city where one
can experience the influence of the many rulers who ruled this region, a
city built and destroyed and re-built over seven times. The guided tour
takes to the monuments that depict the different eras. The tour includes
the magnificent Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Asia's largest mosque, Rajghat
- the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi - the "Father of the Nation".
Afternoon tour of New Delhi to include Humanyun Tomb, Birla Mandir, Bahai
Temple, Qutab Minar, India Gate, President'' House and drive through Connaught
Place. Evening, see Son-et-Lumerie at Red Fort (optional). Overnight at
The Imperial hotel.
Day3 - Delhi - Samode
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Samode, Upon arrival, check into the Samode
Palace. The Palace has been transformed into one the country's premium palace
hotels, and is a perfect example of Rajput-Moghul architecture. The Samode
Palace maintains an immutable majestic presence and is a touching reminder
of the vision of its creators. Evening free at leisure to visit the local
havelis and forts. Overnight at the heritage hotel.
Day4 - Samode - Jaipur
Breakfast. Drive onto Jaipur - the Pink City of Rajasthan. Upon arrival
in Jaipur, transfer to the Rambagh Palace for wash 'n' change. Later, guided
half-day city tour of Jaipur covering Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), City
Palace, Jantar Mantar (Royal Observatory). Overnight at Rambagh Palace hotel.
Day5 - Jaipur
Enjoy a royal breakfast at hotel. Then guided excursion to the majestic
Amber Fort - the erstwhile capital of the Kachwahas Rajputs before they
moved to their newly built capital in Jaipur. This is the only fort where
one can still go by the elephant back even today like a Maharaja. Evening
at leisure for enjoying the real charm of this royal city to stroll in the
local bazaars to see some handicrafts and artisans. Overnight at Rambagh
Palace hotel.
Day6 - Jaipur - Osian
Leave early morning for Osian. Stop over for breakfast. Arrive Osian by
afternoon. Check into Reggies Camel Camp for wash-n-change. Late afternoon
visit the nearby temples. In the evening relax at the camps viewing
folk entertainment followed by a sit down dinner. After dinner, the guests
can either retire to their tents or sit around the fire. Overnight at deluxe
tents.
Day7 - Osian - Jodhpur
After breakfast, enjoy a camel safari to nearby oasis village Khetasar (2.30
hrs ride). One also visits the local potter, weavers, Bishnois huts along
the Safari route. On reaching Khetasar the guests are brought back to camp
in 4 wheel drive Jeeps. Lunch at the village or back at the camp. After
lunch, drive to Jodhpur, the capital of the Marwar State. Check into the
Umed Bhawan hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day8 - Jodhpur
After breakfast, a full day guided sightseeing tour of the city, which includes:
Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and Mandore Garden. Evening free to explore
the tiny shops in the narrow lanes of the city. Overnight at Umed Bhawan
hotel.
Day9 - Jodhpur - Udaipur
After breakfast, drive to Udaipur. Enroute stopover at Ranakpur, to visit
the famous Jain temples. The City of Dawn, surrounded by the ancient Aravali
Mountains and set on the edge of three lakes, is a brilliant kaleidoscope
of narrow lanes flanked by bright stalls, gardens, lakes, palaces and temples.
Enjoy day on the banks of the Lake Pichola or at the numerous shops that
dot the narrow windings streets of Udaipur. Overnight at Udaivilas hotel.
Day10 - Udaipur
After breakfast, full day guided sightseeing of the city including City
Palace, Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon-ki-Bari and a excursion to Eklingi, famous
for its Jain temples. Overnight at Udaivilas hotel.
Day11 - Udaipur - Chittorgarh
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for Chittorgarh - the well-established citadel
and the capital of Mewar rulers. On arrival check into the hotel for wash-n-change.
Then proceed on a guided tour of the Chittorgarh Fort, which stands 180
mtrs high with each stone narrating its own story. Overnight at Castle Bijapur
hotel.
Day12 - Chittorgarh - Kota
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for Kota. On arrival check into the hotel for
wash-n-change. Then take a guided tour of Kota, to visit the City Fort Palace,
Museum and Jagmandir Palace. Overnight at Ummed Bhawan Palace hotel.
Day13 - Kota - Bundi - Ranthambore
Breakfast. Proceed to Bundi, for a half-day guided tour of the Taragarh
Fort, Raniji-ki-Baoli, (Queen's step well) and Nagar Sagar Kund. In the
afternoon drive to Ranthambore. Evening free at the national park. Overnight
at Vanya Vilas hotel.
Day14 - Ranthambore
After breakfast take a jeep safari into the jungle. Afternoon visit the
Ranthambore Fort. Overnight at Vanya Vilas hotel.
Day15 - Ranthambore - Agra
Breakfast at hotel. Then proceed to Agra via Fatepur Sikri; a World Heritage
Site. Assisted by a guide visit this world famous complex of monuments and
temples built in a uniform architectural style. Drive onto Agra. On arrival,
check into Amarvilas hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day16 - Agra - Delhi
After breakfast, visit the Taj Mahal, a monument built by Emperor Shah Jahan
in the memory of her wife Mumtaz Mahal and the Agra Fort, built by Emperor
Akbar in red sandstone exhibiting a mixture of the Islamic and Hindu styles
of architecture. Afternoon drive to Delhi. On arrival check the Imperial
hotel for wash-n-change. Depending on flight schedule transfer to international
airport for connecting flight to onward destination.
